We are pleased to announce details of our Family Care Development Day, which will be held in Hammersmith on 10th May, the event is free and is supported by The PPP Foundation.
The topics of the days include respiratory management and dietary issues, this was decided on as a result of the recent questionnaire sent to all our contacts.
We have been lucky enough to attract Dr Anita Simonds & Annie Bagnall to lead the sessions.
Dr Simonds is one of the UK's leading Respiratory Consultants, based at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. Anita has a wealth of experience with SMA respiratory management and has also conducted research into SMA respiratory management methods.
Annie Bagnall is a Speech & Language Therapist, based at the Hammersmith Hospital and is expert in Dietary issues for people with SMA, including chewing & swallowing evaluation and tube feeding.
It is important that this event is well supported so please make every effort to come along, The event will only go ahead if sufficient bookings are received. We hope you will agree that this is an exiting and important opportunity and can only help develop and improve care practice in for children and adults with SMA.
